| The Duties of the ETFO-TLOTL Executive shall be the following 7.2.10 to establish a 7.2.15 to fill any vacancies occurring in any or all positions in the ETFO-TLOTL Executive during their term of office in accordance with Article IX, Sections 9.5 and/or 9.6. a) Where such a vacancy shall be created through retirement or resignation of an Executive Member, the by-election shall take place at the next general meeting. NEW b) Any Executive member who misses three (3) Executive meetings without reasonable cause shall be deemed to have vacated the position and section 9.6 Procedure for Filling Vacancies will be followed. | 7.2.10 – we revised other parts to reflect the draft budget approval in the spring with final approval in the fall, this just puts the clause in alignment with current practice. 7.2.15 NEW – a clearer explanation of when a seat is considered vacant. | Section 9.1 – Eligibility 9.1.1 An active ETFO-TLOTL member in good standing may stand for elected office. 9.1.2 A candidate for President must have served at least one full term on the Executive in the preceding four years. NEW 9.1.3 If there is no candidate as per 9.1.2, any active TLOTL member in good standing may run as a candidate for President. | 9.1.3 NEW – do not want to tie hands of the local in the event no one meets criteria of 9.1.2.
