Criteria
TLOTL Members may apply for reimbursement to help cover costs of AQs/ABQs, other training and books that will augment their knowledge and/or skills as a teacher.
Members may apply for MDF during the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) in which the learning was completed, or the resource purchased. Members may access the fund once per fiscal year.
Member must have completed 30 assignments, in the current fiscal year, at the time of application. Example 30 days worked in a full time LTO; 30 daily assignments, or a combination of daily and LTO (Proof of completion will be required for daily work – such as a screen shot of assignments in atrieve, or of paystubs showing days worked)
For 2024-2025 the Reimbursement can be applied to:

- AQ/ABQ – Any AQ or ABQ that is successfully completed by the member during the current calendar year is eligible. (NOTE: since we are elementary, a senior AQ/ABQ is only eligible if it affects your QECO placement)
- Other training – Members can apply to offset the costs for completing other learning. Examples: ETFO summer academy, Reading for the Love of It, Activated Learning, OMEA etc. PLEASE CHECK WITH THE LOCAL PRESIDENT TO ENSURE YOUR LEARNING QUALIFIES.
- Book – For the purchase of books that informs your learning. Example: A book such as how to teach Daily 5, UFLI or how to do Math Talks. (manipulatives, toys, student workbooks, story/picture books, reproducibles, blackline masters are NOT permitted)
The course, training, or books must be paid for and completed prior to application. (EXCEPTION: For June AQs/ABQs – please apply prior to June 20th 2025 deadline and submit proof of completion as soon as possible.) Receipts and supporting documents must be provided to substantiate this information.
Funding will be provided on a first come basis for as long as the funds remain available.
Applications must be received by the June deadline listed on the application form.
